PRONOUNCED BOO-LAH
The Bula was designed by Dave Kalama with one idea in mind: to have as much fun on the water as possible. Paralleling its Fijian translation, “wishing you happiness and good health”, the Bula was created to be more than just a paddleboard, but rather to be your go to platform for on the water adventure. Built using extremely durable thermoforming technology, this board combines toughness with a lightweight foam core resulting in a durable yet lightweight board. The Bula is loaded with features allowing you to escape and head off into your own idea of happiness. Whether it’s out on the ocean, a lake, canal, or any other body of water, the Bula will allow you to expand your idea of fun.
A full deck pad covering nose to tail makes the Bula extra comfortable for paddling with your child or furry friends, or when moving through your favorite yoga poses. Catching a few waves on this board is lots of fun too. The Bula is not simply a perfect first board or second board to be shared with family or friends, it’s one board that can truly do it all.

I just wanted to thank you for making this amazing paddle board. I bought this board on the recommendation of the Wing Foil Pro Centre in Florida USA. I am 63 and have been surfing for over 50 years and am currently sailing around the world on my 50ft catamaran. I decided to start wing foiling as a sport as I have been to some amazing locations to do this sport and it’s a great thing to do when there is no surf and plenty of wind!
Well I was battling to get going on the foil board and then I bought the Bula board from the Wing Foil Pro Centre and used it with the wing and the dual fin set up and immediately I started to truly understand the dynamics of powering the wing as I was no longer getting leeway (like I did on my other SUP) and I could point up wind and actually sail back to my yacht instead of having my wife fetch me in the dinghy !! …….. Well after two hours of winging on the Bula, I put my foil board in the water and on my first go with the wing I foiled over 500 yards on my first flight and managed to come back to the yacht riding switch on the foil with only two falls. The acceleration in my learning curve was way beyond any expectation I had and two days later I was flying my foil board on either tack in regular or switch stance. SO STOKED …… and frankly if it was not for this amazing Bula board I would probably still be trying to figure out the power dynamics of the wing! I also use the board as a regular SUP board and was most impressed with the quality of the accessories it came with as the paddle was the best quality I have seen from any production board. The leash was great as it has a nice extension at the ankle leash section to prevent tripping (I now use this leash on my foil board!) and the bungee set and fin systems are great. Also the leash plug on the front of the board is really useful when using the board from a yacht to keep off the stern of the yacht because if you are using a bungee leash it keeps the board to close to the yacht which causes it to bang into the yacht from other boat wakes so being able to tether the board with a separate line to the yacht from the front of the board so handy.
